We build the products we wish existed.
An independent lab based in Dodoma, Tanzania. We design, build and run our own software — no customer roster, no billable hours, no consultancy. Just products we believe in enough to stay with.
No briefs, no billable hours.
We choose what we build. Nobody hands us a scope document, and nobody signs off before we ship.
We are the customer.
Every product exists because we believe it should — not because someone paid us to make it.
Built to last, not to launch.
We stay on as the people who run it, long after a contractor would have moved to the next job.
Products we’ve designed, built and still run ourselves
Company-owned — no outside customers, no contracts

Software we design, ship and operate ourselves.

Notice
We start from a problem we run into ourselves, not a request that lands in an inbox.
Build
A small team, fast iteration, and real users from day one — not a committee-reviewed roadmap.
Run
We operate what we ship — uptime, support and updates are ours to own, indefinitely.
Reinvest

Designed, built and run by Delap Labs — not delivered to a customer and handed off. Alongside our own portfolio, a handful of platforms we still operate day to day.

Get in touchAn independent lab, not an agency.
Delap Labs designs, builds and operates its own software products. We don’t take outside briefs, run billable engagements, or offer consultancy — every product on this site exists because we chose to build it, and we’re still the ones running it.
Contract work optimizes for the brief. We optimize for the product.
Agency work ends at handoff. We wanted outcomes that don’t end — products we use ourselves, iterate on for years, and stay accountable for long after an invoice would have been paid. That’s the only way we build now.
Principles we don’t compromise on.
Ship, then refine
We put real software in front of real users early, and improve it with evidence — not endless internal review.
Own the outcome
If a product doesn’t work, that’s on us — there’s no customer to hand the blame, or the fix, to.
Plain talk
No jargon for its own sake — we say what we’re building and why, plainly.
Long-term maintenance
We maintain what we build — for as long as it’s running, not just through launch.
Dodoma, Tanzania — and wherever the work takes us.
